Many humans are choosing to spend their sleeping hours scrolling. Most bad decisions are made after 10pm and our phones give us access to infinite (potentially bad) decisions. Brick invites us to say it’s bedtime and mean it.
Take back the night
Manifesto
Of all the guilt-worthy things that happen in the evening, our phone is usually the instigator.
Perhaps you’re knee deep in planning your wedding color scheme at 2 am, knowing your work alarm will be going off at 6 am. Let it be known that you are not in a relationship and you do, in fact, have a meeting with your boss first thing in the morning.
Maybe texting her when you’re 7 beers deep is starting to sound like the right call, surely she’d love to hear from you. It’s important to note that you were only supposed to have two beers and she’s your ex from middle school.
There’s also, of course, the all-nighter you pulled to study for tomorrow’s exam worth 50% of your grade. Respectable grind, but imagine the time you would’ve had to both study and sleep if you weren’t scrolling through hours of Heated Rivalry edits.
It’s high time you stop giving your phone all the power.
